TY1 Geography Field Trip

On Wednesday, September 14th, TY1 visited Glenbarrow in the Slieve Bloom Mountains to undertake a field study close to the source of the River Barrow.
They completed a number of experiments in relation to the formation of a V – Shaped Valley. These included measuring the speed, width and depth of the river. This will be good preparation for students who continue to senior cycle geography.
Students were accompanied Ms. Behan and Mr. Brady and a great day was had by all.
