TY – Young Social Innovators

On Friday 29th March, our TY Young Social Innovators performed at the regional YSI Speak-Out Awards in the Lyrath Convention Centre, Kilkenny and won Best Artistic Performance. Our YSI team performed as a group singing a song about Consent, which was their chosen social issue this year. Our Young Social Innovators work hard every year to try and come up with innovative ways to create awareness and fund raise for their chosen social issue. This year, our YSI team ran self defense classes for Transition Year students based around the concept of Consent, designed Consent posters and tshirts and also held a TY stay awake to raise funds for their project. We hope to also hold another fundraiser this year to raise funds for the Rape Crisis Centre Ireland.
