Transition Year Trip to the Ploughing

On the 21st of September, the TY students went to the ploughing in Tullamore. It was an early start, leaving the school at 8:00am to arrive in Tullamore at 10:00am because of the traffic.
On arrival we received our tickets and then queued in order to get our wristbands to get in. We were given worksheets to complete throughout the day, which involved using our maps to find certain stalls and write about what was at each one.
We were allowed to go off in groups to find these stalls but before we left we were giving a meeting point in case we got lost. Everyone found it very difficult to use the maps as the site was very large and crowded.
There was a great display of tractors, animals, cars, companies, food and there was a carnival.
Everyone really enjoyed the experience and we all had a great day.
