St. Pauls U17 soccer team has had a very successful season so far triumphing in the Midlands Junior League. St. Pauls started their campaign with a comprehensive 6-0 win over the Curragh. The second group game was a much tighter affair with the team showing great character to overcome Newbridge College 3-2 in poor conditions. This qualified us for the semi finals where we met Portlaoise College and put in a terrific performance to win 9-4.

St. Paul’s stiffest test came in the final against a strong Rathdowney side. Throughout the final the team showed tremendous work rate and team work and deservedly ran out 2-0 winners. The title was a fitting reward for an excellent team who now go on to a Leinster Quarter Final against Trim.
