Senior Girls Basketball Quarter Final

On the 23^rd of November, our senior girls travelled to St. Josephs school in Rochfortbridge for their midland C quarter final, with their coach Elaine Mahony. The starting five from St. Pauls were Lauren Kelly, Sarah Hanlon, Sarah Walsh, Annie Curran and Jade Lawlor. Also Sophie Cunningham, Alana Baker, Siobhan Clinton, Shauna Bond and Michaela Broughall going on throughout the duration of the game. The team played with dedication and heart throughout the whole match. The game was very close in the first two quarters, then while the girls got more confortable they came back in the last two quarters and gave it their all. The final score was St.Pauls-46 and St.Josephs-31. There was good shooting from all girls on the team, especially by Lauren Kelly and Jade Lawlor. Also fantastic defense from Sarah Hanlon, Sarah Walsh and Jade Lawlor. Hard work from all the girls is what got them the win. The girls are now through to the semi finals in Athy. Well done girls.
