NUIM 3rd Yr Special Awards 2014-15
On Wednesday May 13th, in a packed lecture theatre in Maynooth University, five 3rd year students were awarded for their academic achievements. Sarah Roche (English), Lauren Kelly (Gaeilge), Rory Mahon (Science), Jordan Higgins (Maths) and Darren Prendergast (French) were commended on their application to their studies and were reminded of their potential to succeed highly. In an inspiring ceremony Dr Philip Nolan (University President) thanked the school leaders, teachers and parents who have had such a positive influence on the students.
Three past pupils of the University spoke of their individual and unique experiences in overcoming difficulties to aspire and achieve at third level. The ceremony concluded with photographs and light refreshments. The proud parents and teachers wish these students and all the 3rd year students the very best in the upcoming Junior Certificate.
