Jabba Jabba Jembe

As part of our JCSP we received an award to play with Jabba Jabba Jembe. The owner of Jabba Jabba Jembe is David Day. He runs an interactive percussion song and dance workshop. It provides a hands-on learning experience which allow people of all ages to enjoy learning and playing a range of drums and percussion instruments.

David was very nice and helped us learn and get through our stage fright of performing in front of people. He showed us all sorts of techniques that he knows. We all know now how to play drums and make beats all mix together and it does all sound very good when it’s all put together. We all had our own roles to do while we performed for our parents. We had so much fun doing it we even got mad hats to put on us for a laugh. While we performed for our parents we gave out shakers for them to join in so they had as much fun as we did. I would recommend doing this again because it was really enjoyable and from all of us students point of view we all had fun doing it. In our opinion it was hard to keep up but with David helping us through the weeks we managed to get it right.
