The Partnership with Parents and Others DEIS stand develop partnerships with parents and
with the community. We also develop links with a range of external agencies in order to
support students to remain in school and to experience success. The development and
fostering of effective links with parents and the local community are critical aspects of the
DEIS planning process. The role of the Home School Community Liaison coordinator and of
School Completion Programme personnel is important in establishing, developing and
fostering effective links between the school, the home and the local community, including
those providing further and higher education.
