Last week we welcomed our visitors from Newmarket Academy to St Paul’s as part of the Godolphins Schools Together exchange programme. We had an action packed few days. Students met for the first time on Wednesday morning and our students introduced the Newmarket Academy students to some Irish culture and dance, the Irish language and Irish history in St Paul’s. They finished the day off in Lullymore Heritage Park.
On Thursday, they participated in the Irish Racehorse Experience in the National Stud and saw some retired racehorse legends. They got a tour of Kildangan Stud, seeing a farrier demonstration, the stallions and some newborn foals.
The trip concluded with a trip to Croke Park to learn some more about our Gaelic games and got to see Dublin from above on the Skyline Tour.
Thank you to Godophin for giving all these students such an amazing opportunity, making new friends and helping them develop many life skills. Our students are already excited to go to Newmarket in May to meet their new friends again.
