Halloween Poetry

The witches howl
Oh how this is so foulThe spiders and roaches
Appear as night approaches
The wind is strong and bold
And makes me feel so very cold
The bats and cats are so scared
I do hope I am spared
Oh Halloween, Oh Halloween
Sometimes you can be so mean
I do hope this is over, until next October
Oh Halloween, Oh Halloween.
Halloween
Bonfire, sweets, fireworks galore
Cats, pumpkins, fake blood on the wall
Cackling witches, Frankenstein‘s roar
Dancing and singing
Shadows on the wall
Children dressing up to give people a fright
Conkers crackling, squeals of delight
People laughing while playing a game
scary movies to make everyone scream
Abandoned houses old and creaking
Ghouls and goblins, small and creepy
Sweets given to greedy kids, bags full to bursting with Cadbury and Twix.
Cauldrons bubbling while being mixed
Children screaming let’s play some tricks
The one day of the year adults get to be kids, take off their suits and jump right in.
I think you’ll agree, because I hope you do
Halloween with its cackling… booing…. howling…. laughing … snorting … groaning … banging…. clanking….. shrieking …. Is the spookiest night of the year.
Halloween Night
The wind was blowing silently, On the cool, Halloween night.
And through the silence,
I heard someone shout with a fright. I peered out my window
To see what was the problem,
But no one was there,
And the street seemed very solemn. I had another glance around
To see what else I could see.
From the corner of my eye
I spotted a pair of eyes, hiding by a tree. Before i could see anymore,
My legs began to freeze,
And that’s the last thing i remember From that cold, Hallows Eve.
