Back to the 80’s TY Musical Review
The St. Paul’s Secondary School, Monasterevin Transition Year students of 2017 took us back on a journey to the 1980’s. We got to join the graduating class of WOHS (William Ocean High School) and witnessed the struggles of high school life and the drama of teenage romance. It was set to the best hits of the 80’s.
We witnessed Tiffany finally realising Michael is not the guy she thought he was. We saw Corey getting the woman of his dreams for the prom night. We got to see the class nerd Feargal stand up to the class bully Michael and we got to live alongside the senior class as Corey Sr. took us back in time.
The large audiences that attended the 4 shows laughed at Feargal and Mr Cocker’s one liners and sang along to all the 80’s hits like ‘Footloose’ and Girls just wanna have Fun’.
They got to smile and cheer as the class all managed to make it to prom night and danced elegantly to Dirty Dancing’s “Time of my Life”.
It was a night enjoyed by all who came as people were transported back to one of the best decades in musical history.
