Autism and Back to School (Anne Harris)

Autism & Back to School

We are aware September is a challenging time for students with

Autism, settling back into school, and their teachers supporting them in the

classroom.

To that end, we have launched a series of AsIAm “Back to School” Handbooks

for students, parents and teachers. These handbooks were launched, with

national media attention, earlier this week and are available for free

download on our website.

They can be found at this link: http://www.asiam.ie/school-handbooks-2

I would respectfully ask you to share these resources with interested

parents and teachers in your school. I would particularly draw your

attention to our “My Child” and “All About Me” workbooks which help students

and parents share person-specific challenges with teachers.

Please do not hesitate to get in touch should you require further

information or support. For more information on these guides see our media

links below.

Best Wishes.

Kind regards,

Adam Harris
