2nd Year Carlingford Trip

Carlingford Trip 2015
On Monday 23rd March a very excited crowd of 2nd year boys and girls set off on their outdoor adventure trip to Carlingford. They were accompanied by an equally excited Miss Mahony and Mr. Fitzgerald. After a 2 hour bus trip filled with ‘Are we there yet?’ we arrived in Carlingford and ready for the adventure to begin. For the first activity the group set off on a forest hike in the dark and despite the leaders best efforts to tire the students out everyone was in full spirits for a late night!! The following morning brought some sunshine and we all headed of for our first activity which was the laser tag. Our students (and teachers!!!) transformed into action men and women as they battled their way through various games. A trip to Carlingford would not be complete without a trip on the tropical water!! Despite the cold weather the students took on the challenge and some even braved the pier jumping.
That night students took on the murder mystery tour around the town of Carlingford and then collapsed into their beds nice and early much to the delight of teachers and parents!!
The following morning we got to experience the new Skypark which involved a high ropes obstacle course and zip wiring. The high ropes challenge brought out the best and the worst in some of the students with some choice language used as the students attempted to conquer their fears!! The body zorbing was a very popular activity and gave the students a good workout. We returned to Monasterevin Wednesday night exhausted but after having a thoroughly enjoyable trip which was made even more enjoyable by the excellent behaviour of the group.
