175th Anniversary of The Irish Flag

3rd year students Ryan McCann, Amy Byrne and Zara Hoey represented St. Paul’s at the SETU Arena in Waterford to mark the 175th Anniversary of the first flying of the Irish Flag.
An Taoiseach Leo Varadkar was the special guest of honor to mark this historic occasion. The event, organised by the Thomas F. Meagher Foundation saw Secondary Schools from all over the country come together to celebrate the message of the tricolour “Pride, Respect, Peace”.
The students were presented with an Irish flag at the ceremony which will be flown at the school on Flag Day March 16th.
