Last Thursday 16th May, our TY Young Social Innovators presented a cheque for €660 to the Rape Crisis Centre Ireland. The project theme for our Young Social Innovators this year was Consent, which our students feel is a very important issue among young people today.
We decided that as part of our YSI project for the year, we would hold fundraisers to raise money for the Rape Crisis Centre Ireland. In January, we ran a Transition Year Stay-Awake in our school and in April we also had a Bake Sale to raise money for this organisation.
On behalf of our YSI team and our teacher Ms.Comerford, we would like to thank Rape Crisis Ireland for all the great work their volunteers do to help and support survivors of sexual violence and sexual assault.
